Alessandra Mele | S02E13

Alessandra Mele is a Norwegian-Italian artist and songwriter, who will compete in Melodi Grand Prix with her song ''Queen Of Kings''. The 20-year-old has spent the majority of her life in Italy, but two years ago, she made the decision to relocate to Norway in order to be closer to her Norwegian family and to pursue her love of music. She started singing, dancing, and cooking with her mother to the music of Frank Sinatra at a very young age. She spoke about moving to Norway, her path to music and her participation in The Voice,  the meaning of her song, and of course MGP!

Gustaph | S02E12

Gustaph wrote his first song when he was only seven years old. At the age of nineteen he scored a hit with his first single ''Gonna Lose You'', a song that he produced and wrote himself. He has experience when it comes to the big Eurovision stage. He saw the best inside: as a backing vocalist, he has already participated in the Eurovision Song Contest twice (in 2018 in Lisbon with Sennek and in 2021 in Rotterdam with Hooverphonic, where he was also Geike Arnaert’s voice coach). Gustaph believes his catchy new songs are perfect for the Eurovision Song Contest - and this time not as backing, but right there in the spotlight!

Chérine | S02E11

Chérine - who describes herself as an atypical person with an atypical voice - rose to recognition as a member of Alex Callier's team in The Voice of Flanders, where she competed. The Voice times continued in her life, but now in France. She competed in the contest in 2019 and 2022. As coming by Euronation Talks, she told us more about finding her path, her experiences,  her songs, and she couldn't hide her excitement when we delivered the shocking news to her: she is currently a fan favourite to win Eurosong 2023!

Gala Dragot | S02E10

As we dive into the busy days of the national final season, we invited Gala Dragot as a guest to Euronation Talks. She grew up in an artistic nest which encouraged her to pursue a carrier in the music industry. She won The Voice Kids at the age of 15, and now she is this year's youngest artist to compete in the Belgian national final. She tells us how The Voice taught her to sing,  describes her songs - “emotion ollie” and “t‘inquiète” - in 3 words with a little struggle, and spills some clues about her staging.

Sissi | S02E08

“Dave Benton’s daughter“ - that’s the first thing that comes to the Estonians' mind when they see or hear Sissi but she is much more than that. She spoke about how her father’s success never put pressure on her,  but how it created the whole Eurovision dream, how she started to sing at the age of 2 (!!), how her song “Lighthouse” was inspired by a breakup, and a sad loss of her uncle and grandfather and she told Carlos her top 5 Eurovision entries of all time.

MERLYN | S02E07

Merlyn Uusküla, as most people know her: MERLYN doesn’t need an introduction for the Estonian people. She broke into the public consciousness as part of the famous girl group Nexus. She has been part of the music industry for a while now and achieved many things - it is enough for us to check Wikipedia - still she finds her way to go further and further. Today, she told us about the inspiration behind her song “Unicorn Vibes”, how she feels the internet and social media impacted her carrier, and Carlos and Murad told her whom they think would fit her for a collab.

ALIKA | S02E06

Alika, an Estonian-born ambitious singer, winner of the 8th season of ''Estonia is Searching for a Superstar'', where she also sang  Duncan Laurence’s Eurovision-winning song. The twist of fate is that this year she has teamed up with co-writer of ''Arcade'',  Wouter Hardy, for her entry ''Bridges''. She stepped by Euronation Talks for a quick chat about her professionalism in competing and how it will help her, how she feels about her song being a fan-favourite, and who she thinks can be her biggest competition in the show.

Janek | S02E05

This time Euronation Talks invited Janek, who will compete in Eesti Laul 2023 with his song “House of Glass”. He sang since he was 6, competed in Pop Idol Estonia exactly 10 years ago, and got a music degree in London. What made him decide to take a break from performing and work in investment? Why is his carrier a love-and-hate relationship? How did his song’s chorus melody start in the shower? How a sudden loss of a friend and producer made him work with the Eurovision icon Mørland? All questions get answered in this episode!

Erma Mici | S02E04

Euronation Talks guest Erma Mici, an extremely young and talented singer, digital creator who often gets compared to Amy Winehouse. The Albanian audience got to know her from the Voice Kids 2018 and Stand Up Albania 2020, but her determined dream is to get listeners from the whole world. After her quite long hiatus, she thought this is the perfect time to make something permanent. In this episode she talked about her experiences in competing, about her song "Kozmosi i dashurisë" and she played a little game with Carlos where not only it turned out their musical taste is very similar, but also that who would Erma rather collaborate with.
