Sofía Martín | S02E21

Sofía Martín went viral in the fandom even before actually taking part in the national final. The trilingual singer-songwriter was born in Germany and raised in Spain. Bjørn Olav Edvardsen | S02E20

Bjørn first rose to prominence when he placed 3rd in Norwegian Idol in 2005. He makes his debut in Melodi Grand Prix as an artist, but not as a songwriter. He co-wrote the 2021 fan-favourite song: “I Can’t Escape” and on top of that, he joined the songwriter team on Umami Tsunami’s song “Geronimo” which qualified for the final last Saturday. He talked about how he made it to the music industry, “Turn off My Heart”, writing for MGP and many more.

JONE | S02E19

JONE is participating in Melodi Grand Prix for the very first time with the song “Ekko Inni Meg”. After changing schools in the 9th grade, he was introduced to music, which led him to a bachelor’s degree in songwriting and production. He has been compared to names such as TIX, Cir.Cuz and Halva Priset/Katastrofe. These are also artists he always has been inspired by.  He stepped by at Euronation Talks to tell us about his participation in Melodi Grand Prix which is a milestone in his career so far, his song, his staging, and everything related to Eurovision.

He speak about his involvement in the Melodi Grand Prix as a songwriter and pianist, his brother's accident that inspired his song "Tresko," and he told us some shocking facts about his grandmother who competed in Eurovision 1963.

The Starlings, which consists of the Belgian representative at Eurovision 2010 Tom Dice, and his wife Kato Callebaut who became well-known through the 2011 edition of Idol in Belgium sat down with Carlos and answered his questions about how they met, what made Tom come back to Eurovision, what made them decide to enter this year's competition, what ''Rollercoaster'' and ''Oceanside'' is about, and gave us clues about their staging.

Ameerah | S02E14

Ameerah moved to Los Angeles to work as a songwriter with artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Jay Sean, and Dj Tiësto. Her debut single, 'The Sound Of Missing You' reached the top 3 on the Billboard dance charts USA, which not many artists can claim. Moving back and forth between Belgium and the big USA, this year she decided to compete with ''Armageddon'' and ''The Carnival'' in Eurosong 2023. So what exactly is such a successful artist like? Alessandra Mele | S02E13

Alessandra Mele is a Norwegian-Italian artist and songwriter, who will compete in Melodi Grand Prix with her song ''Queen Of Kings''. The 20-year-old has spent the majority of her life in Italy, but two years ago, she made the decision to relocate to Norway in order to be closer to her Norwegian family and to pursue her love of music. She started singing, dancing, and cooking with her mother to the music of Frank Sinatra at a very young age. She spoke about moving to Norway, her path to music and her participation in The Voice,  the meaning of her song, and of course MGP!

Gustaph | S02E12

Gustaph wrote his first song when he was only seven years old. At the age of nineteen he scored a hit with his first single ''Gonna Lose You'', a song that he produced and wrote himself. He has experience when it comes to the big Eurovision stage. He saw the best inside: as a backing vocalist, he has already participated in the Eurovision Song Contest twice (in 2018 in Lisbon with Sennek and in 2021 in Rotterdam with Hooverphonic, where he was also Geike Arnaert’s voice coach). Gustaph believes his catchy new songs are perfect for the Eurovision Song Contest - and this time not as backing, but right there in the spotlight!
